The Planning Department provides professional guidance and technical assistance to the City Council, Planning Commission and the public, implements and monitors city growth and development policies; accepts processes and analyzes all development applications and recommends actions on the applications to the City Council and Planning Commission. The Planning Department also administers and acts on ministerial items such as administrative permits, signs, home occupations and is involved with enforcement of the Zoning Regulations.
